Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Patriots will be missing a pair of running backs, as Sammy Morris and LaMont Jordan are inactive for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.
Morris injured his knee during New England's 41-7 victory over the Denver Broncos last Sunday and was sidelined for all three practice sessions this week. Jordan, who missed both Thursday and Friday's practice sessions, continues to suffer from a calf injury and has missed the past two games.
Morris finished with 16 carries for 138 yards and one touchdown last Sunday before leaving with the injury. Rookie tailback BenJarvus Green-Ellis was then thrust into action and the Mississippi product collected 65 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
Green-Ellis and Kevin Faulk are expected to share the workload in the contest.
