Recap: Indianapolis vs. Cincinnati

Sports Network | August 28, 2008

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Chris Perry and DeDe Dorsey each scored a touchdown to help the Cincinnati Bengals top the Indianapolis Colts, 27-7, in the final preseason tuneup for each team. Jeff Rowe completed 7-of-11 passes for 67 yards and Ryan Fitzpatrick went 5- of-8 with a touchdown for Cincinnati (2-2), which did not have the services of quarterback Carson Palmer (nose), wide receivers Chad Johnson (shoulder) and T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hamstring) and running back Rudi Johnson (hamstring). Jared Lorenzen connected on 9-of-16 passes for 91 yards and an interception for the Colts (1-4), who were without quarterback Peyton Manning and wide receiver Marvin Harrison. Pro Bowl center Jeff Saturday will reportedly miss the first six weeks of the season due to ligament damage in his right knee. Cincinnati opened the scoring with 1:56 left in the first quarter on Perry's five-yard touchdown run. The score capped an epic 21-play, 80-yard drive that chewed up nearly 12 minutes of the clock. In the second, Fitzpatrick hooked up with Glenn Holt for a nine-yard touchdown and Shayne Graham kicked a 46-yard field goal for a 17-0 Bengals lead. Courtney Roby's 103-yard kickoff return put the Colts on the board with 3:39 to go in the first half. Graham added a 30-yard field goal in the third and Dorsey finished off the scoring with a six-yard touchdown in the fourth. The Colts will open their 2008 season with a home date against the Bears on September 7, while the Bengals begin by visiting the Ravens the same day. Game Notes Game Notes
