BBV Pick 'em Divisional Round

Even in the playoffs, we can't get anyone with a perfect week!

Most people chose the Steelers over the Broncos, but the minority that didn't also chose the Bengals. Also Simms' suckiness has extended to the post season. I mean 3 road teams? What was he thinking?

3-1: Willgfass, Larry Soprano, telcochik2, Iboogie25, j-man, sv101, AmsterdamAdmirals, TNYFBG

2-2: Plaxico Burress, Netsareboss, Tommy d., Rorschach44, BrooksBridges11, jcaliafore, Maraman, wangstu13, 1giantlion

1-3: Simms-McConkey

This Week:

New Orleans @ San Francisco

Denver @ New England

Houston @ Baltimore

New York @ Green Bay

Best of luck everyone

Counterpunches will be the difference

Everyone is talking this week's game up as Aaron Rogers, arguably having the best year a quarterback has ever had, matching up against the Giants defensive line which, when healthy (and they are now) can disrupt a game and impose their will.

What nobody is talking about (that I can find) is how Aaron Rogers and the Packers offense plans on dealing with this.

Ask A Packer Fan: Divisional Edititon Part 2

Ok, so that got out of hand a bit....

Anyways, the thought of creating a new thread was brought up, becuz, the first one was gettin' kinda long, y'know?

I'd like to apologize for my behavior in the first thread. And anyone else from APC who might have offended you guys. Lets please, please, please try to keep this second thread clean, and less trash talking than the first.

Also some quick updates from the week; Joe Philbin, Packers offenseive coordinator, his son died. Condolences to him and his family. Gotta be tough, especially during such a busy week as this is. Life comes before football, and that's just a terrible tradgedy.

James Starks [RB, Packers] is listed as questionable for the game.

Only player I saw on the Giants injury report was Aaron Ross.

Please drop a few recs to keep this near the top, if ya don't mind [and feel free to un-rec the first post.]

Again, let's keep this thread MUCH CLASSIER than the first. That goes for both sides, myself included. [Remember, if you're not a regular poster on BBV, you're a guest. Be respectful.]

K? K.

My prayers to the Philbin family...

I cannot post on the Acme Packing Company until tomorrow, but I figured I could create this post on BBV to give our condolences for this horrible tragedy that happened to the Philbin family. I'm sure there are others like me.

In the end this game means nothing when compared to tragedies like these.

I'm very sorry Philbin family and my prayers are with you.

Please add comments below to show our support =).

NFC East Regular Season Player Review

Now that the 2011 regular season is in the books, decided to just take a retrospective look at individuals in the no-longer vaunted NFC East.

Wanted to give out the most valuable player at each position. Also the runner-up, and the least valuable player.

Criteria for judging was not only if the player was the overall best at the position, but also given equal weight was positive impact to the team, including intangibles, injuries and situational play. If that doesn't sound objective, it's because it isn't. It's my opinion, so lets consider that my disclaimer.

I love feedback and debates, so I suppose that's the point of the piece!

Here is to a good game Giant fans

I know both our teams hate each other especially more this week. Here is to a great game with no injuries, bad calls and a Packers win! We need to avenge the last time. I wanted you guys to beat Dallas since I hate them more. Have had ill feelings toward the Giants since 07. Winning the super bowl was great last season but repeating this year will be very tough. Good luck but not too much.

Overrated/Underrated?

I'm writing a guide for the 2012 season and I thought who better to ask than Giant's fans themselves a few questions about the Giants. Congratulations on the Giants 24-2 victory over Atlanta yesterday.

Who is the most overrated player on the team?

Who is the most underrated player on the team?

Who is your choice for best rookie on the Giants?

What do the Giants need to address in the 2012 draft?

Does coach Tom Coughlin deserve all the scrutiny he gets from the media?

Why does it seem the Giants don't get things moving until the second quarter? In other words, why do the Giants fail to play up to their skill level in the first quarter of most games?

Ask A Packer Fan: Divisional Round Edition

Hey guys, I'm arodgb from APC, and I'll take any questions you might have about next week's matchup! Before we go into that, though, I'd like to congratulate you on beating the Falcons. Although the win didn't seem as impressive to me at first, I only watched the first half, and after seeing some highlights of the second half, I'm impressed. Holding any team to 2 [0] points is an accomplishment as well.

Anyways, the general consensus over at APC seems to be that you guys have the best shot at upsetting us of all the teams left in the NFC. Better than the Saints, mostly for the reasons that the Giants have a superior defense, and that makes up for a slightly less explosive offense. Also, the Giants play outdoors, and the Saints struggle outdoors much more than they do inside of their comfy dome. Make no mistake, while you may see some comments that don't take the Giants seriously, we all know that the Giants are one of the toughest teams to stop when they're in synch.

Key matchups? Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz vs Tramon Williams and Charles Woodson is #1 for me. #2 is JPP, Tuck, and the rest of your DL vs our OL. We will be starting a OL group that hasn't played together since week 5, for what it's worth.

If you don't mind, please drop a few REC's so this stays near the top for the week. Thanks.

Please try to keep trash talking in the thread to a minimum. Minimum.

Good luck, and let's hope for a fun, injury free game.
