Its the offseason and Im bored. Lets see every NFCs team AFC counterpart (In my opinion).
Packers-Steelers
Probably the class of their respective conferences in terms of success.
Seahawks-Patriots
Recent dominance of their divisions and more to come. The Patriots have created a dynasty are the Seahawks next in line?
Giants-Ravens
On the cusp of being considered an elite franchise if not already. Both are well respected. Known for their historic defenses and QBs who came up in the clutch when it really counted and the pressure was on.
Cowboys-Broncos
Legendary franchises in the past, today? Not so much. You can respect the Broncos a little bit more thanks to the recent Super bowl but in the end they are better known for their glory days.
Redskins- Raiders
These two franchises went from well respected to a joke and are now trying to change that reputation. Two young QBs who they believe will lead them to the promised land.
Lions- Browns
These two franchises are depressing to say the least.
Vikings-Bills
What can you say? Missed opportunities is the story of these two franchises.
Saints- Colts
The Peyton era is very similar to the Brees era. Both eras featured powerhouse offenses and average to below average defenses. The problem of both was the QB and offenses as a whole were so good that they became too expensive. The defenses suffered in the end in talent and as a result Peyton and Brees will/did end up not winning as many Super bowls as they should. History has a way of repeating itself again with Andrew Luck's contract and their horrid defense, let's see if it happens for the Saints.
Bears-Jets
Both teams have a strong case of little brother syndrome. The Bears always looked up to the Packers and the Jets always to the Patriots.
Falcons- Chargers
Matt Ryan like Philip Rivers has squandered a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball, from LT to Michael Turner, to Antonio to Tony, to VJax to Julio. They have a reputation of being fools gold from being successful in the regular season to pooping the bed in the playoffs. Let's see if Matt Ryan can change that this weekend.
Panthers- Jaguars
Both young teams. Both had their shot at winning a championship. You get the feeling if these two teams keep building on an already solid foundation they will be a real threat and with their youth sustain their success.
Rams-Titans
New beginnings would be the theme here. Both are starting young new QBs in hopes that their QB is a franchise QB. They're both young mixed in with a few vets.
Eagles- Bengals
I almost put the Eagles with the Chargers but went with Bengals instead. Both fan bases have been tortured. Zero Super bowl wins (and no NFL championships don't count Eagle fans) for the both of them. Both fan bases often wonder if this is it are we finally legit? when they do have success but often come up disappointed by seasons end. Tease franchises
Niners-Dolphins
Oh the days of Dan Marino and Joe Montana and how these two teams wish they could go back. These two teams are trying to return to the days of when they were relevant.
Cardinals- Chiefs
You can argue both have championship rosters but there's a problem...health at QB and RB. You can't really count on Carson Palmer and Alex Smith. You can't count on Jamaal and David Johnson. The sooner these teams realize it the better.
Bucs-Texans
Often forgotten NFL franchises. If you're a casual NFL fan you might not have known the Texans existed until this year. This one was a difficult one to compare because I don't think any team would have signed Osweiler to that contract. I will say both think they are ready but are really not. They are barely playoff contenders and a 2nd WC team at best, but if they keep building….maybe.
Let me know if you agree with my comparisons in the comment section below
