The New York Giants hold their final practice Friday before heading to Canton, Ohio to participate in Sunday's preseason-opening Pro Football Hall of Fame Game vs. the Buffalo Bills. As usual, practice at Quest Diagnostics Training Center begins at 1:20 p.m. ET.
Here are a few things to look for.
Injuries -- Who's In, Who's Out?
The Giants were pretty healthy for the first week or so of training camp, but they left Thursday's practice with a lengthy injury list. In case you missed it, here is the list:
The following players did not practice at all on Thursday:
Wilson, Beckham, defensive tackle Mike Patterson (shoulder), offensive lineman John Jerry (knee), linebacker Spencer Paysinger (concussion), linebacker Spencer Adkins (groin), kick returner/wide receiver Trindon Holliday (hamstring), cornerback Travis Howard (knee).
The following players left practice early:
Defensive end Robert Ayers (ankle), offensive tackle Will Beatty (illness), cornerback Bennett Jackson (ankle) and wide receiver Corey Washington (heel).
Let's see who practices Friday afternoon. It's a safe bet that anyone who does not work in practice won't play vs. the Bills.
How Hard Will They Go?
The Giants were in pads on Thursday. This figures to be a fairly light, and maybe a short, practice. Part of that is because the Giants have a game Sunday, and over the years the final practice before games has usually not been a tremendously strenuous one. Part of that is also because of the growing injury list -- the Giants need to preserve as many healthy bodies as they can for Sunday night.
