New York Giants' news, 5/16: Jermichael Finley back to Green Bay Packers?

Jermichael Finley - Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

New York Giants' headlines for Friday, 5/16.

Good morning, New York Giants' fans! Here are your Friday morning headlines.

On Thursday we discussed tight ends still available on the free-agent market, and the most prominent name is Jermichael Finley, formerly of the Green Bay Packers. Well, Packers coach Mike McCarthy isn't quite ready to move on from Finley, telling Sirius XM NFL Radio that "In my mind, he's a Green Bay Packer, hopefully." Finley, of course, has yet to be cleared to return following a serious neck injury.

In case you missed it, 'Invictus' broke down the play of second-round pick Weston Richburg in one of his excellent film studies.

Ex-Giant Derrick Ward isn't backing off his comments about Michael Sam despite having been heavily criticized. Speaking of Sam, he apparently did not tell NFL teams of his plan to film a documentary for the Oprah Winfrey Network out of fear he would go undrafted.
