I have put together a draft based on CBS Sports rankings. I have realistically looked at who will be available and the BPA while also considering what the team needs.
Rnd 1 12 Aaron Donald DT or Taylor Lewan OT
Rnd 2 43 Troy Niklas TE or Marcus Martin C
Rnd 3 74 Chris Borland LB or Antonio Richardson OT
Rnd 4 113 Andre Williams RB
Rnd 5 152 Cody Latimer WR
Rnd 5 174 Tyler Larsen C
Rnd 6 Max Bullough LB
So there it is. The first three rounds have options due to who may be available and the two that should be considered if both are available. The first round is a no brainer, the line either o or d. Second round grab a top center who can start for years to come or a TE that can do the same. Round three is interesting, both of those guys could possibly challenge to be a starter, great value in the third. Round four is one that not many others have chosen. Here is my case; Wilson in my opinion was a waste of a first rounder. Jennings was a great FA pickup and should be solid, but Williams can be the 1,2 punch we have lacked in years, and in the 4th??? I'll take him. Fifth, Latimer is developmental but has good upside. Also in the fifth Larsen is a good pick if we do not get Martin, good potential. In the sixth, Bullough is a hard hitting LB from MI State. Will foster competition as a sixth rounder and at worst be a tackling machine on special teams, which we really need. Ther you have it, options at the top based upon the viewer but either would do. At the bottom there is value and talent, with coaching all could contribute early.
