Here are a few New York Giants' free agency tidbits for your Friday evening, including the news that the Giants are apparently expecting to host cornerback Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie for a visit.

The news about Rodgers-Cromartie was reported by Conor Orr of the Star-Ledger. Rodgers-Cromartie, 27, was the fifth-ranked cornerback in the NFL in 2013, with a Pro Football Focus grade of +13.0. He would be expensive as he reportedly turned down a six-year, $54 million offer to remain with the Denver Broncos.

Per the NFLPA web site, the Giants have $12.805 million left in salary cap space for 2014. Updated contract figures for all of the players the Giants have recently signed can be found in our most recent free agency tracker.

Ebenezer Samuel of the Daily News reported Friday afternoon that the Giants might have interest in former Denver Broncos defensive end Robert Ayers, who would help them fill the void left by the departure of Justin Tuck.

On the center market, Evan Dietrich-Smith signed a four-year, $14.25 million deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday. That increases the likelihood of the Giants trying to bring Kevin Boothe back to New York. By the way, can anyone else believe the Giants have J.D. Walton, who has not played a snap in more than 2 1/2 years, a two-year deal worth $5 million, with $3 million guaranteed? They must expect him to make a run at the starting job.
