When Pro Bowl rosters are announced Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET the only real suspense for New York Giants fans is whether or not sensational rookie Odell Beckham will be selected to play.
Believe it or not, despite Beckham's ridiculous record-setting rookie season he should not be considered a lock to make the team. That is largely because his overall numbers are impacted by those four games he missed at the beginning of the season.
Beckham did not finish in the top 10 during the fan balloting for the Pro Bowl. He is 18th in the league in receptions with 79 and 13th in receiving yards with 1,120. He is third in the league with an average of 101.8 receiving yards per game. His 11 receiving touchdowns are tied for seventh.
Among rookies, Beckham and Jarvis Landry of the Miami Dolphins are tied for the most receptions. Beckham has the most yards receiving and Beckham and Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are tied when it comes to receiving touchdowns.
The only other Giants who might have a legitimate case for a Pro Bowl selection is defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins.
