Thanks to the monumental lake-effect snowstorm that buried Ralph Wilson Stadium under nearly eight feet of snow and paralyzed much of Buffalo andmany of its surrounding towns NFL fans get a special treat Monday night. It's a Monday Night Football doubleheader, featuring the New York Jets vs. the Buffalo Bills at Ford Field in Detroit, and the New Orleans Saints hosting the Baltimore Ravens.
Let's take a brief look at both game.
Jets (2-8) vs. Bills (5-5)
This one was supposed to be played Sunday in Buffalo, but the storm made that impossible. It will kick off at 7 p.m. ET on CBS. The Bills are 3-point favorites here, but who knows. They missed a bunch of practice time last week due to the storm, and there is no telling whether or not they will actually be prepared to play.
Jesse is taking the Jets to cover the spread, but the Bills to win the game.
Buffalo fans are turning the event in Detroit into a road trip.
See Buffalo Rumblings for more about the Bills, and Gang Green Nation for what's up with the Jets.
Ravens (6-4) at Saints (4-6)
This is your regularly-scheduled Mondaynighter (8:30 p.m./ESPN).
Believe it or not, the Saints will have a share of first place in the pitiful NFC South (too bad the Giants don't play there) even if they lose to Baltimore. A win and New Orleans is alone at the top. The Ravens need a victory to keep pace in the AFC South.
