The New York Giants trail the San Francisco 49ers, xx-xx, at halftime of Sunday's game.
The game started well for the Giants, who took a lead on their first possession, going 63 yards in five plays after Zack Bowman recovered a Frank Gore fumble. An Eli Manning 19-yard pass to Larry Donnell gave the Giants a 7-0 lead with 6:54 left in the first quarter. It was the first time all season the Giants scored on their opening possession.
Three San Francisco field goals gave the 49ers a 9-7 lead. The Giants blew a scoring opportunity when a miscommunication between Manning and Rueben Randle led to Manning's second interception, killing a drive at the 49ers' 14-yard line with 4:42 left in the half.
Manning finished the half 12-of-21 for 139 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.
The 49ers dominated first half time of possession, keeping the ball for 20:10 to only 9:50 for the Giants.
