Hey Big Blue Nation,
I am coming to you for help with a mock draft. Cincy Jungle which is the SB Nation blog for the Bengals is having a mock draft and I am picking for you guys in the mock draft. I wanted some input from you on needs, prospects you like, and anything else that might make this draft realistic.
Needs - I see the interior line as the biggest need on the team. G is probably the biggest need especially if Snee doesn't come back. C looks like it is a need as well. Baas was injured most of last year and the two replacements didn't play well. DT and CB look to be big needs. I know that DE looked bad but JPP and Kiwanuka have talent. I think they just saw more double teams due to lack of production in the interior as well as the CB's not holding up long enough to get a sack. Amuckamara should get better with another year under his belt but Webster is going down hill at the end of his career.
My game plan - If this falls like I want I would like to trade back to the early 20's and draft Xavier Su'a Filo Guard UCLA. Looking to trade with the Dolphins, Cards, or the Packers. I should pick up another 2nd round pick with by doing this. I would then be looking at Travis Swanson C Arkansas or David Yankey G Stanford with the first Second Rd Pick, and either Gabe Jackson G Mississippi State or Bryan Stork C Florida State with the second second rd pick. 3rd rd I am looking at Dominique Easley DT Florida, Bradley Roby CB Ohio State, or E.J. Gaines CB Missouri. From this point on I am going to look for Best player available.
The other option is to stick with the 12th pick and take Darqueze Dennard CB Michigan State or the best player available. On fanspeak.com mock drafts I have had some OLB and WR fall out of the top ten to me. I don't think WR is a huge need but after Cruz and Randle it gets pretty thin pretty quick.
Help me out here with ideas of prospects you like, what you need, and I will try to represent you accordingly. Thanks in advance!
