Week 3 didn't bring a lot of surprises, only that the great teams are really great, the good teams have their flaws and there are still a lot of questions that need to be answered. Another week and another check in the loss column for the New York Giants, and as a result the team is falling further down the line in Big Blue View's Week 4 NFL Power Rankings.
1. Denver Broncos (3-0): Beating Oakland isn't the greatest accomplishment, but Denver makes it look so easy. (LW: 1)
2. Seattle Seahawks (3-0): The Seahawks ran over the Jaguars, but who didn't see that coming. Seattle and Denver are essentially 1 and 1a in the rankings. (LW: 2)
3. New England Patriots (3-0): They're not overwhelming anybody, but New England is unbeaten and has room to improve. (LW: 3)
4. New Orleans Saints (3-0): Welcome to the top five, New Orleans. The Saints defense has been revived under Rob Ryan, and it's showing. (LW: 6)
5. Chicago Bears (3-0): Marc Trestman has turned the Bears into an offense-oriented club, but it's their M.O. -- defense -- that is going to help them win in the NFC North. (LW: 7)
6. Baltimore Ravens (2-1): Even without Ray Rice, Baltimore pummeled the Texans at home. (LW: 9
7. San Francisco (1-2): Colin Kaepernick has looked average since his outstanding season debut. He, and the defense, need to get better. (LW: 4)
8. Green Bay Packers (1-2): The injury bug is biting Green Bay, so a bye week could not come at a better time. (LW: 5)
9. Atlanta Falcons (1-2): Have the Falcons been bypassed by the Saints as the team to beat in the NFC South? (LW: 8)
10. Kansas City Chiefs (3-0): Sure they're undefeated, but they've faced the Jags, Cowboys and Eagles, and they've not even the best team in their own division. (LW: 11)
11. Indianapolis Colts (2-1): It was encouraging to see the Indy defense step up against San Fran. The combo of Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw gives the Colts another element to defend. (LW: 12)
12. Detroit Lions (2-1): The latest team to hand the Skins a loss, Detroit's offense looks sharp. They'll need to play this kind of D more consistently, though. (LW: 13)
13. Houston Texans (2-1): It's only their first loss, but the Texans just skated by in their first two games and were crushed in their first true contest. (LW: 10)
14. Dallas Cowboys (2-1): Quietly, it's Dallas atop the NFC East. Let's see what happens when the division schedule picks up. (LW: 14)
15. Cincinnati Bengals (2-1): Impressive to see the Bengals rally late against the Pack. (LW: 15)
16. Miami Dolphins (3-0): I'm skeptical about the Dolphins, but Ryan Tannehill has made tremendous strides in his second season. Beating the Falcons is impressive. (LW: 19)
17: St. Louis Rams (1-2): For all of the improvements the Rams are making, they can't seem to play well away from St. Louis. (LW: 16)
18. San Diego Chargers (1-2): Aside from the fourth quarter, San Diego continues to play well. (LW: 17)
19. New York Jets (2-1): For all of the offseason storylines, Geno Smith has piloted the Jets to two comeback wins. And this defense is no joke. (LW: 22)
20. Philadelphia Eagles (1-2): Philly is creeping back to where many predicted they'd be in terms of W-L. Still, they're dangerous. (LW: 18)
21. Buffalo Bills (1-2): Allowing the Jets to top the 500-yard mark is not a good sign going forward, Buffalo D. (LW: 20)
22. Tennessee Titans (2-1): Jake Locker is showing me some things. But he needs to continue to do so. (LW: 27)
23. Carolina Panthers (1-2): Did Cam Newton figure something out or are the Giants just that bad? (LW: 28)
24. Arizona Cardinals (1-2): They're better, but still not that good. (LW: 23)
25. Minnesota Vikings (0-3): A loss to Cleveland without Richardson or Brandon Weeden, really? (LW: 25)
26. Washington Redskins (0-3): Mike Shanahan needs to make changes of defense, but at least Washington is keeping games closer. (LW: 24)
27. New York Giants (0-3): They can't protect Eli Manning. They can't run the football. The defense can't get a stop. (LW: 21)
28. Cleveland Browns (1-2): They're in the win column, and did so against the Vikings on the road. Not so bad, Brian Hoyer. (LW: 30)
29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-3): Three points and shutout after the first quarter -- these Bucs are not the contenders we thought they'd be. (LW: 26)
30. Oakland Raiders (1-2): The loss could have been a lot uglier. Oakland is hanging out. (LW: 29)
31. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-3): They're playing better, but not enough to get a win. (LW: 31)
32. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3): No matter which quarterback starts, I doubt it's going to get much better. (LW: 32)
