I went to the game yesterday. I haven't been to a Giant's game in years. The last game I saw in person was when the Giants were playing at the Yale Bowl while the Meadowlands stadium was still under construction. I was excited to see that about half the fans were wearing Giants jerseys and was looking forward to the Giants turnaround in what should have been an easy victory over a very mediocre team.
Little did I know that I would witness the worst ass kicking the Giants have received in 40 years. At one point the Panthers had more points than we had rushing yards. As early as the second period the Giants defense was gassed and totally disorganized, while the offense was so inept I thought Coughlin might just throw the towel in and leave the field in disgrace.
I got home in time to see the end of the Colts game and was able to watch Bradshaw run out the last 4 minutes of the game with one first down run after another and cap it off with a game clinching touchdown. He rushed for 95 yards and outplayed Richardson.
I can't imagine a scenario that can save this season but maybe at least we can get back to a less risky game plan on offense and figure out what's wrong with our defensive line play,
The saddest part of the game was watching the Giants mope around with their head hanging down while the TV commercials were playing.
