I'm an editor at catscratchreader.com, the Carolina Panthers' SB Nation blog site, and I have the delightful job of endearing myself to the opposing fanbase the week leading up to our games. (I'm not being sarcastic -- it's usually a lot of fun.)
So yeah, we're both 0-2, hmm? ... Big Gulps, huh?... Well, alright. I guess the good news is someone (likely you) has to win on Sunday, right? I mean, we're way better at out-losing the opponent than you are, so I don't think you stand much of a chance at keeping your imperfect record intact.
Okay so on the real? We're angry. We're pissed off. We're tired of looking at Ron Rivera's expressionless face as he does whatever it takes to lose week after week. It's funny because it seems like he only becomes a serviceable coach when his lively hood is hanging by a thread (ex: our late-season win streaks under Rivera), so maybe he realized that time is now?
It's sad. That is the only shred of hope that I have left when it comes to this team, and I had to go to crazy town to find it. Back to Rivera -- the time to win is now, because there are grumblings that if he loses on Sunday he's going to get fired, as that would be the best time to do it ( because we have a week four bye this year).
Anyway, if you want to pull up a chair and watch this dumpster fire burn, come on in and make yourself at home. If you have a question about our team, myself (I'm not normally this morose) or one of my CSR pals will come to your aid.
