Jake Muasau has taken an incredible journey toward his chance to make it in the NFL. The linebacker from tiny Georgia State is back for a second shot at making it with the New York Giants. We look at Muasau's chances today as we continue our player-by-player breakdown of the 90-man roster the Giants will bring to training camp later this month.
2012 Season In Review
The Giants signed Muasau as an undrafted free agent last season. He was impressive during training camp and the Giants began working him at middle linebacker, but a hamstring injury derailed Muasau's effort to go from rags to riches -- he was once homeless -- and the Giants released him.

2013 Outlook
Muasau showed the Giants enough in 2012 that, as they occasionally do with some young players, they brought him back for another look this season by signing him to a reserve/futures contract.
As was the case a season ago, Muasau has to be considered a longshot to make the Giants' roster. Considering, however, that the Giants have no truly established standout linebackers if Muasau can continue to impress the Giants the way he did a season ago -- and stay healthy this time around -- a spot, at least on the practice squad, could await.
