What is left in the 2013 NFL free agent market? We recently floated the names of a few linebackers who might pique the New York Giants' curiosity now that the 2013 NFL Draft has come and gone. Is there anyone else out there who could help the Giants next season.
SB Nation lists former Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw and former Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Eric winston as the best offensive players available. Neither seems to make sense for the Giants. In fact, scrolling the list and looking at the Giants current roster no offensive players really seem to make sense.
What about the defense, however? In SB Nation's list of best defensive players available there are a couple of cornerbacks who might be interesting. Anyone interested in Marcus Trufant or Quentin Jammer? How about safety Charles Woodson? Again, I see none of those players as likely to interest the Giants.
The Giants have anywhere from $3.9 to $4.4 million in salary cap space, depending on what source or sources you rely on. That, however, does not take into account rookie salaries or finding room to sign Victor Cruz.
