When rookie defensive end Demontre Moore got to his locker today he found a note from veteran defensive end Justin Tuck that said, "I hope you are ready to work."
According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, Tom Coughlin said Moore had some issues this week with preparation and practice mentality. Moore didn't disagree.
"I think he meant exactly what he said: That wasn't one of my strong fortes," said Moore. "But I'm here to work and I'm trying to make my weakness my strong point."
As you can see mentioned above, it looks like Coughlin won't be the only one keeping an eye on him. Veterans like Tuck will as well.
Rookie quarterback Ryan Nassib had a good day throwing at targets, but he was picked off by safety John Stevenson. Despite the pick, Coughlin seemed impressed with the work Nassib was displaying. "As time went on he got more comfortable and he got better with it," said Coughlin. "Guys started to respond to him. He did well."
Nassib also had an opportunity to meet and talk to Eli Manning for the first time. Learning from Manning is a priority Nassib plans to make in his time with the Giants.
"I want to try and learn as much as I can from him because he is definitely one of the best," said Nassib. "If I can just take a little bit from him each and every day, who knows what I can be like?"
