Jason Pierre-Paul will not play for the New York Giants on Sunday when they face the San Diego Chargers. The defensive end will miss his second straight game due to a shoulder injury he first sustained Week 10 vs. the Oakland Raiders.
Cornerback Corey Webster, injured much of the season, will miss yet another game due to his injured ankle. Running back Brandon Jacobs, who missed last week's game due to a knee issue, has been listed as doubtful. Cornerback Trumaine McBride is questionable with a groin injury. He did not play last week vs. the Washington Redskins. Tight end Brandon Myers (groin) and cornerback Terrell Thomas (knee) are probable.
What does all of this mean for the 5-7 Giants, who are trying desperately to stay in the playoff race?
At defensive end, it means a second straight week of increased snaps for rookie Damontre Moore. At cornerback it likely means a second consecutive start for Jayron Hosley.
