NFL Playoff Picture: Road to MetLife Stadium after Week 16

Sunday's play clarified the playoff picture somewhat, but there is plenty of intrigue heading into the final week of the season.

Here is a look at the NFL Playoff Picture, otherwise known as the Road to MetLife Stadium for Super Bowl 48, after Week 16.

No. 1 - (X) Seattle 12-3

No. 2 - (X) Carolina 11-5

No. 3 - Philadelphia 9-6

No. 4 - Chicago 8-7

No. 5 - San Francisco 10-4

No. 6 - New Orleans 10-5

In the hunt: Arizona 10-5, Green Bay 7-7-1, Detroit 7-8, Dallas 8-7

(X) - clinched playoff berth (Y) - clinched division

The New York Giants, of course, knocked the Detroit Lions out of playoff contention with Sunday's 23-20 overtime victory. The day's biggest bummer was the Dallas Cowboys coming back to beat the Washington Redskins, 24-23. The Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles play for the NFC East title next Sunday.
