Giants vs. Packers: First look at the Packers

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

A quick look at the Green Bay Packers as the Giants prep for Sunday's game.

The New York Giants, winners of three straight games, know they still have a long way to go to climb all the way out of the 0-6 hole they dug themselves to start the season.

"We’re moving in the right direction, but we still haven’t done anything yet," said Giants' safety Antrel Rolle. "That’s our mentality, understanding where we’re trying to get to. Three straight wins is not enough at this point. We just need to keep it rolling, but take it one game at a time."

Next up for the Giants are the 5-4 Green Bay Packers, who will start third-string quarterback Scott Tolzien Sunday at MetLife Stadium (4:25 p.m. ET). The Giants are 6-point favorites.

Rolle said the Giants will "just have to watch film" to learn about Tolzien, who played in his first NFL game last week during a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

"There's not much but you have to go on what you see," Rolle said. "They're not going to break too far away from their gameplan and at the end of the day, your technique, your keys, your assignments ... it is what it is. You just make sure you execute those."

Notes

Packers' rookie running back Eddie Lacy has 669 yards rushing this season. As a team, the Giants have only 692 ... Giants' defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins spent the first seven season of his career with the Packer ... Giants' defensive line coach Robert Nunn held that job in Green Bay from 2005-2008.
