Takeaways: The conservative, run-first nature of what the Giants did on offense is reflected in Rueben Randle's playing time. Randle averaged 37.75 snaps in the first eight games, but played only 20 Sunday.Bear Pascoe (30) and James Brewer (15 snaps as an extra tight end) got a lot of those snaps. Andre Brown took 48 snaps, two-thirds of the Giants' offensive plays.
Takeaways: I know, I know, I know already. You guys will skip all the way to the bottom of the defensive table, see the two snaps Damontre Moore played on defense and have a cow. Fact is, Jason Pierrre-Paul, Justin Tuck and Mathias Kiwanuka all played well. Kiwanuka's late-game strip sack was the final nail in Oakland's coffin. It is what it is. Moore is a terrific athlete and may one day be an excellent defensive end. Due to injuries he had virtually no preseason and has had limited practice time during the regular season. He is behind and, as a result, not playing as much as he -- or the Giants -- would like.
I am interested in a couple of other things. It is very clear Will Hill (56 snaps) and Jacquian Williams (44 snaps) are now full-time members of the defense. Former starters Spencer Paysinger and Ryan Mundy each got 13 snaps.
