Grime usually does this, however I haven't seen him on here so I guess I'll do the obligatory "Talk to the opponents" thread.
One team is 1-4. One team is 0-6.
One team has a quarterback carousel. One team has a quarterback who has thrown 15 picks through six weeks.
I think it's safe to say that neither team or their fans have the season going the way they had hoped.
Last week, the Vikings got stomped when the Panthers rolled into town and trounced our diminished secondary and took advantage of the turnovers Matt Cassel gracefully handed them. The Vikings ended up losing 35-10. I understand a few weeks before the Giants were shut out against the Panthers. To add insult to injury, literally, the Vikings lost some key defensive players in linebacker Desmond Bishop and safety Harrison Smith.
Now, for our final act of desperation, the Vikings will be starting Josh Freeman who they just acquired two weeks ago. I saw your game against the Bears and with a score of 27-21, I would say the Giants hung in there even with Eli Manning throwing 3 INTs. The Giants are bound to get a win at some point and I would say that your first win could very well come this upcoming Monday. Am I being pessimistic? No. I'm being realistic. Freeman is a huge question mark and we have no idea how things will turn out with him.
Your defense seems to be holding up alright, plus with a Superbowl winning QB. I can really see the Giants getting their first victory. I think it will be a close game, however I see the Giants coming out on top in this one. 21-18.
Some questions though, what has been the main issue with Eli Manning throwing all those picks? Is your offensive line okay? Are you guys managing to rush the quarterback? How about your secondary? You guys do have some weapons with Cruz, Randle and Nicks so throwing the ball shouldn't be an issue, plus I hear you just acquired Peyton Hillis to be your running back . Like Freeman, I would guess he's going to be a question mark for you.
Either way, I hope for no major injuries for either team and a good game. One more thing, what's the sentiment among the fanbase regarding your head coach?
