Super Bowl 2013: Super Bowl week memories of 2012, Thursday edition

The Giants certainly did their share of talking before last season's Super Bowl - Scott Halleran

The Giants won the Super Bowl just a season ago. Here is a look back at what we were writing about on the Thursday of Super Bowl week in 2012.

Let's continue our look back into the Big Blue View archives at Super Bowl week 2012. Today, we look at some of what was making headlines at BBV on Wednesday as the New York Giants readied to face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.

Giants Talking Too Much? - Big Blue View

Are the New York Giants talking a little too much heading into Super Bowl XLVI Sunday against the New England Patriots? Actually, let me phrase that another way, since with all the cameras, microphones and media requirements of Super Bowl (hello, Osi, nice of you to join the media circus) players and coaches have to talk. A lot.

The better question is, are the Giants actually saying too much when it is their time to talk?

LeSean McCoy Of Eagles Picks Giants To Win - Big Blue View

This has emerged as quite possibly my favorite story of Super Bowl week. Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has picked the New York Giants to defeat the New England Patriots in the 2012 Super Bowl. Even though he admitted he didn't want to.

"I'm going to be honest," McCoy said, smiling a wan smile. "I really want the Patriots to win. But I feel like the Giants are probably going to win."
