We'll have more on this in the coming days but right now the top suitors for Cornellius Carradine of Florida State are the Miami Dolphins (12th selection), the New York Giants (19) and Minnesota Vikings (23 & 25). Carradine has had a lot of recent contact with Miami and if the Dolphins agree to terms with offensive tackle Brandon Albert, he becomes a real possibility with the 12th selection (Miami could grab a cornerback/tight end in rounds two and/or three). I was told at the Senior Bowl the Giants, who've also had a lot of one-on-one contact with Carradine the past week, rated the Florida State senior as one of the best defensive ends in the draft prior to his injury.
Valentine's View: The way this draft appears to be shaping up I am becoming more and more convinced that the pick for the Giants will be either Carradine or Bjoern Werner, whichever of the two Florida State defensive ends they like better. The top six offensive linemen, including guards Chance Warmack and Jonathan Cooper seem likely to be gone, and there is enough depth at linebacker and cornerback that the Giants could address those spots on Day 2 if they choose.
