2013 NFL Draft Rumors: New York Giants have 'heavy interest' in tight end Nick Kasa

The New York Giants have "heavy interest" in Colorado tight end Nick Kasa, according to NFL Draft Insider Tony Pauline.

In a prospect profile of the Colorado tight end, BBV's Jesse Bartolis said Kasa "is a tenacious blocker, has the speed to stretch the field and the size to be a red-zone threat. He's a really appealing option, but he has a long way to go before he is a consistent receiving threat -- a developmental prospect at this stage."

Pauline wrote that "Kasa does not offer immediate starting possibilities but is a sensational developmental prospect."

The Giants signed Brandon Myers as a free agent to replace Martellus Bennett at tight end. They also have veteran Bear Pascoe and young, developing Adrien Robinson at the position.

There were reports early in the pre-draft process that Giants tight ends coach Mike Pope was enamored with a mid- to late-round draft prospect. Is Kasa that player?
