Prince Amukamara was the selection the last time the Giants picked 19th in the NFL Draft - Chris Trotman
The Giants have seven selections in the 2013 NFL Draft. Compensatory picks have not yet been awarded.
The NFL released the tentative round-by-round order for the 2013 NFL Draft on Thursday. The order does not include compensatory selections, which will be awarded at the bottom of Rounds 3-7 and announced next month. Here is where the New York Giants select.
Round 1 -- 19th
Round 2 -- 19th (49th overall)
Round 3 -- 19th (81st overall)
Round 4 -- 19th
Round 5 -- 19th
Round 6 -- 19th
Round 7 -- 19th
I didn't give you the overall pick numbers after Round 3 because they will change with the compensatory picks.
The last time the Giants had the 19th overall selections was in 2011, when they selected cornerback Prince Amukamara. In 1999 they used the 19th overall selection on offensive tackle Luke Petitgout.
Compensatory picks are awarded to teams that have lost more compensatory free agents -- or higher-valued ones -- than they signed in the previous year. Teams that gain and lose the same number of players but lose higher-valued players than they gain also can be awarded a compensatory pick.
