New York Giants news and notes: Talkin' about Philly

Good morning, New York Giants' fans! Here is your Thursday morning notebook.

Hakeem Nicks 'Looking forward to Philly'

After sitting out last Thursday due to lingering issues with the foot he broke during the offseason, wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is expecting to play against the Eagles.

"I'm definitely looking forward to Philly. Obviously a big game for us, a rivalry game. They know us, we know them. I'm looking forward to it. My body feels pretty good. I had about a week off, so I'll get out there and practice tomorrow and see how it goes from there," Nicks said. [Full transcript]

Eli Manning ready for Philadelphia

Giants' quarterback Eli Manning has had some great moments in Philadelphia against the Eagles, and some awful ones. One thing he knows for sure is that playing in Philly is not like playing in other places.

"It's a great atmosphere. It really is. It's tough and it's loud. The fans are unique, but it can be a fun place to play, and we have to go in there and have great communication between our offensive line," Manning said. "Those guys have to be loud. If we're making checks, making different calls, everybody's got to be on the same page. It makes the experience of playing Philadelphia very interesting." [Full transcript]
