A look back at the missed opportunities from Boleys interception

I'm just going to look over a few plays that had a big impact in the loss against the Cowboys.

So far I have review the coaches tape only as far as the 10 minute mark in the 2nd quarter I'll update this post with more plays after I review the whole game

The biggest moment of the game so far was the Michael Boley Interception return and the Giants being unable to get a TD from the Cowboys 1 yard line.

The first reason why we didn't score the TD is in the return of the interception. Boley does very well in the return and it looks like he is going to go in for a TD, the only player he has to beat is Tyron Smith the LT and he has 2 blockers in front of him. The problem is his 2 blockers are Jayron Hosley and Michael Coe who weigh 130 and 120 lbs less than him. Hosley had the better position to block Smith and even if he just stood in front of him might have seen Boley score, instead both Holey and Coe just ran by Smith allowing him the chance to make the tackle.

On the first down play I've seen many people blaming Hynoski for not blocking Spencer who eventually makes the play on Bradshaw, but when I watched the play I could clearly see that Bear Pascoe is the one who was supposed to block Spencer. Pascoe never gets anywhere near to blocking Spencer who sheds him before he gets a chance to engage By the time Spencer comes free Hynoski had slowed down to tunr and block some one else and isnt able to come back to block Spencer. On this play if Pascoe gets a better block on Spencer Bradshaw most likelly scores instead of losing 2 yards.

in this picture Pascoe's attempted block on Spencer is in the red circle and the orange arrow is the direction Hynoski was looking to go.

The next play 2nd and Goal from the Cowboys 3 yard line the giants again send Pascoe in motion to the reight like the last play but this time the run goes to the left side. The blocking on the edge for this run is actually decent for once, Hynoski is left with a one on one block against Spencer to seal the edge and allow Bradshaw to go in for a TD but this time Bradsahw tries to cut back inside. The interior of the OL all attempted cut blocks and were all on the ground while the Cowboys DL were getting up and were ready to make a tackle on Bradshaw. On this play Bradsahw made the wrong decision and if he continues to follow Hynoski he probably scores a TD
