This is my latest preview of the 53 men roster.

Offense (25) :

QB (2) : Eli Manning, David Carr

HB (4) : Ahmad Bradshaw, David Wilson, Da’Rell Scott, Andre Brown

FB (1) : Henry Hynoski

WR (6) : Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle, Domenik Hixon, Jerrel Jernigan, Ramses Barden

Douglas has been good during the preseason. But it's true that he didn't have Victor Cruz-type performance so I think the Giants will try to put him on PS and sign him to the 53 men roster if there is an injury at WR.
Hixon could be cut but Coughlin is too loyal to do that.

TE (3) : Martellus Bennett, Adrien Robinson, Bear Pascoe

OL (9) : Chris Snee, David Baas, Kevin Boothe, Sean Locklear, David Diehl, Will Beatty, James Brewer, Mitch Petrus

I really don't like to put Petrus here. His performance was awful throughout all TC and preseason. But I feel like the Giants have to keep him just to have some depth at the guard position. Jim Cordle is still eligible for the PS so it'd be wiser to keep him there. Matt McCants needs also some time to develop himself into a NFL offensive tackle so it's pointless to waste a roster spot on him.

Defense (25) :

DT (4) : Linval Joseph, Marvin Austin, Rocky Bernard, Marcus Thomas

If you have read my previous roster previews I've said that Kuhn and Hendricks were locks. I have changed my mind because the vets Bernard and Thomas have been good and Coughlin always prefer guys with experience. Even though Kuhn and Hendricks had good preseason games, I don't think someone will notice them on the waiver wire so it's worth taking the risk to put them on the practice squad.

DE (4) : Jason Pierre-Paul, Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora, Adewele Ojomo

Ojomo took Tracy's spot. He's been the best backup DE on this team in my opinion. If the Giants try to put him on the PS, someone might want to take him (like the Pats, for example).

LB (8) : Keith Rivers, Michael Boley, Mathias Kiwanuka, Mark Herzlich, Chase Blackburn, Jacquian Williams, Greg Jones, Spencer Paysinger

The MLB competition has been close but I think the Giants will go with Blackburn as the starter. They won't cut Herzlich and I can't see them cutting Paysinger, Williams nor Jones who have been pretty good. So let's just keep them all.

CB (6) : Corey Webster, Terrell Thomas, Prince Amukamara, Jayron Hosley, Justin Tryon, Michael Coe

We still don't know what the Giants will do with the new IR rule but if they put TT on it, I believe they'll just keep 5 CB. Coe and Tryon are making this team because of injuries. They are not perfect but they can do the job. And you have to keep in mind that the Giants secondary can be efficient only if the pass rush is forcing the QB to make mistakes.

S (3) : Antrel Rolle, Kenny Phillips, Will Hill

I believe that the Giants will use less 3 safeties packages because there are more LB capable of covering the pass. But once Sash's suspension is over, he'll come back as a 4th S.
