NFL teams have until 4 p.m. Monday to pare their rosters from 90 players to 75. Cuts will come trickling in throughout the day.
As I had indicated over the weekend, coach Tom Coughlin talked Sunday about how having to play a preseason game on Wednesday against the New England Patriots complicates the cutdowns.
"It’s very, very difficult because, first and foremost, you have an obligation to play the games in the preseason. So while we can talk all we want about, ‘we have to meet this deadline with these cuts,’ somebody has to play the game," Coughlin said. "So if you have an injury or two at a spot, it affects what you’re going to do. It makes it a difficult, anxious kind of a thing. You can walk out there and have things set in your mind, and then something happens and you have to adjust."
Use this thread to discuss the cuts and drop in any that you read about as the day goes along.
