So, now that we've witnessed most of what we'll see from this team, as far as preseason goes, I think it's time to take a shot at the final roster. Feel free to disagree, this is only my opinion and based on nothing other than my viewpoint. I've gone on a limb with a few, cut some favorites too... at the end of the day, we're jettisoning some quality talent this year, no way around it. I'm also not 100% positive on IR/PUP/PS rules, so don't kill me for a mistake there. Listed in general depth order. So without further ado:
Poor showing aside, no way JR doesn't go with the experience as the backup. Perriloux is fine as a developmental guy, but we just don't have room on the 53 for a 3rd QB... Perriloux to PS if eligible.
Admittedly more hopeful than necessarily true. Martinek to the PS because Bear will be the backup TE and Joe is raw and needs some work and size. Does AB2 still have PS time?
Probably the easiest position to call, don't see how there's any debate here. Bear doubles as backup FB. IR Lady Beckum, I spose
Not sold on Douglas, but enough others are, maybe he makes it on ST abilities
OL(9): David Diehl, Chris Snee, David Baas, Kevin Boothe, Will Beatty, Sean Locklear, James Brewer, Brandon Mosley, Mitch Petrus
McCants to the PS out of necessity. I haven't seen anyone else make a case to stay
Canty to PUP, Bernard or Rogers gets released when he returns. Kuhn to the PS, too raw
DE(4): JPP, Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora, Adewale Ojomo
Stash Tracy on the VCIRRS (Victor Cruz IR Redshirt)
LB(7): Kiwi, Chase Blackburn, Mike Boley, Keith Rivers, Mark Herzlich, Jacquian Williams, Greg Jones
Some rough cuts here. Paysinger (if elig) to PS with Muasau
Sash doesn't count for now as he's suspended, one of the CBs will be cut when he comes back
Special Teams(3): Tynes, Weatherford, DeOssie
