New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin is authoring a book tentatively titled 'Earn The Right To Win,' which will highlight "his system of relentless preparation and old-school tough-mindedness," according to the release the Giants sent out on Thursday.

The full title of the book at this time is 'EARN THE RIGHT TO WIN: How Success In Any Field Starts With Superior Preparation'. The book, co-authored by David Fisher, is expected to be released in March of 2013. It will be published by the Portfolio imprint of Penguin Group.

"Preparation is easy to praise but very hard to master. No modern coach, in any sport, understands that better than Tom Coughlin," said Portfolio President and Publisher Adrian Zackheim.

I don't know about you guys, but this book is already on my reading list.

Incidentally, I think Coughlin has earned the right to do this. Unlike certain other coaches who have written books without accomplishing anything.
