New York Giants $3.11 Million Under Salary Cap, Per Report

Stay connected for news and updates

The New York Giants have $3.11 million left under the NFL salary cap, according to a report that came out over the weekend from Pro Football Talk. So, Giants fans go ahead and put on your general manager cap. Is there anybody available right now you would like to see the Giants spend some of that money on?

Here, from Walter Football, is a list of available free agents.

There are a few tight ends available, including former Giant Visanthe Shiancoe. Offensive tackle Marcus McNeill, a talented by injury-prone 28-year-old offensive tackle is available. Walter Football calls him a "high-risk, high-reward" signing." Is he worth it for the Giants? I am not recommending either of these signings, rather I'm just tossing out a couple of names to get the discussion moving.

Maybe you think the Giants should just use a little of that money to bring back Deon Grant or Kareem McKenzie.

By the way, according to PFT only five teams have less cap space than the Giants at this point. Oh, and the Philadelphia Eagles have $18.02 million, more than all but two NFL teams -- the Jacksonville Jaguars ($25.1 million) and Tennessee Titans ($19.97 million).
