Giants looked at for who to draft by other teams.

Hey guys, my name is Nick. This is my first post on BBV, i have been a reader for close to three or four years now. I just wanted to bring one thing up that struck me as more then just coincidence.

A few weeks ago there were rumors that the New York Giants had been interested in selecting Chandler Jones, the Defensive End out of Syracuse. At the time Jones was rated by most as an early second round guy at best, there was even a player profile done on BBV stating as much. Then, almost instantly, Jones' name started being talked about more and more, mostly by Mike Mayock. ( who i still can't for the life of me figure out why people pay so much attention to this guy.) Out of nowhere people where stating that he was a sleeper first round pick, then he became a sure fire first rounder, maybe even going to the Giants rivals the Eagles or Cowboys (coincidence?). Last I read, Mayock had made him his number one ranked DE for the draft. Now maybe this all happened because teams and scouts had more time to watch tape on Jones, but to me, it seemed strange that a guy some even said may go in the THIRD ROUND became and instant commodity one the Giants showed interest.

Is it just me?

Regardless we all know that this organization will have an excellent draft as they have the past three years. Thanks for your time and thoughts guys, as for me, the only way today could get better is if the Giants take Stephen Hill and the Rangers win game 7!!!!
