It certainly did not take Brandon Jacobs long to turn on the New York Giants, the team that put two Super Bowl rings on his fingers. In an interview with KNBR in San Francisco the never shy with his opinions Jacobs took some shots at the Giants' offensive line.

Responding to a question about running in short yardage situations, an area where the 6-foot-4, 265-pound running back was only moderately successful, Jacobs had this to say:

" ... we had issues. When I was with the Giants, we had issues down the line. Of course I took the blame for those (because I was) holding the ball. But ultimately, at the end of the day it is my fault because I do have the ball and that's what people see. But there's a lot more than that going on."

Apparently, Jacobs does not see tap-dancing in the backfield as one of those issues.

Jacobs also seemed to indicate that he did not feel wanted by the Giants. Which, in reality, might be true.

"Well, ya know, they had the best offer for me as well. ... At the end of the day we go out and play this game for it being football, what we all love playing," Jacobs said. "But after you've been in the business a certain amount of time, and know that they've turned it into nothing but a business, that what-have-you-done-for-me-lately type attitude comes. And that's what we turn it into as players, and that's when things happen."
