Ok so I wanted to start a little pre-draft discusion on the following question:

What player (or position generally) do you think will have the most impact on the team if drafted THIS YEAR?

And let's dispense, for the purposes of this conversation, with the "JR won't draft him" comments that's beside the point of this debate. The debate is about "if drafted." (And I'd prefer to stay away from the "TC doesn't play rookies" comments too - yeah I know, I know)

So my pick is Coby Fleener or Dwayne Allen, TE.

Fleener is probably the better deep threat with Allen the better blocker/all around TE. I liked the pickup of Martellus Bennet but adding a young stud would enable us to run some nice 2 TE formations and also have a nice 3rd passing option. You could motion Fleener out into the slot with Bennett on the field and he would bring another slot option to the mix.

(Ugh here come the Gilbride doesn't use the TE properly comments...I disagree but I know it's coming)...

RB is a possibility but other than that I don't see an OT coming in and starting, nor a WR, nor frankly any defensive position at all. I see TE as the biggest opportunity with the need at the position and the potential player in Fleener or Allen who could come in and take advantage of the opportunity.

So what do you guys think? What's the potential pick that could make the biggest impact?
