but i thought most of the floats went by way too fast as well. i barely switched from camera to video before the Trophy float was halfway past.

& I think people left after the Eli float b/c the thought it was over. in 07, Eli, Stra & the trophy were the very last float to come by so maybe some people just didnt realize they were missing the entire defense.

i was right outside the gate to city hall. they had huge TV screens that aired the show. (FYI anyone that doesnt know yet, MSG will be re-airing the “parade in 60” tomorrow at 10am & 1pm). some of the pre show stuff was just awful but we were all excited for the main event.

I just got back from Florida watching the game with my uncle and I had tons of school work to do because turns out my professors don’t give a shit about my fandom lol. Trips to Florida to watch with the man who made me a fan of the Giants doesn’t qualify as an excused absence, what nerve!

After that, it got semi-retired (wear it for playing football on the weekends and a few Giant games during the year).

The Nicks jersey has a little history to it. My sister got it for my birthday in Dec 2010. So the first time I wore it was on 12/19/10. Needless to say it had a year long ban after that. So when the New Years game against the Cowboys happened for the NFC East title, I had a feeling it would redeem itself and it did. Wore it the whole playoff run and it got rewarded with a parade appearance. It may get semi-retired status this year.

BBV should make that into a t-shirt!

side story: I went to the Giants bar in DC after the game was over (had to leave the house of my Pats friend that was hosting the party for obvious reasons) and the bar was still packed. everyone was loving every second of life, and I started yelling “fear the lowercase ny!”, which they were loving, too.
