I'm currently on a Mega Bus coming home from school to go to the parade tomorrow. I am a student at Boston College and watched the game with all Patriot fans and a kid from Long Island who claims to be a "fan of New York teams" otherwise known as a crappy and unloyal Jets fan. Watching the game as the only person who honestly cared about the Giants and only person who would give a kidney to the Giants if it would guarantee the victory, was an experience. I had to deal with constant jabs at my Giants and was harassed for being a Giant fan while living in Connecticut. Since I was also watching the game with all the people who I plan on rooming with next year I chose not to gloat. No good could have come from me laughing at the Patriots while one of my friends seemed to be on the verge of suicide.
At the conclusion of the game I went straight to my room and bought my tickets for buses to and from New York. There was no chance in hell I was going to miss the parade this time. Four years ago I was a freshman in high school and there was no way for me to skip school and sneak out to New York for the last Giants Super Bowl Parade and I hated myself for missing that. I decided as much as I would like to say that we will be having another Super Bowl Parade for the Giants next year I can't say that, at that is one of the things I love about this game. Good teams make the playoffs, but the hot teams win the Super Bowl. This is certainly true, there was not a single team that was hotter than the Giants were coming in to the playoffs.
Well here's to the New York Football Giants the Super Bowl XLVI Champions!
