First Huge Kudos to Ed
You may not pump out the most pieces, and your pieces may not stake out aggressive territory. But there are many of us that really appreciate the consistent and fine work that you do. Further, reporting the facts without always feeling the need to editorialize and analyze, is something I truly value. We are fans, it colors our analysis, getting the facts without a spin allows me (us) to think for ourselves. I love that.
And thanks for running a site where you are willing to draw the hard line on appropriate behavior. At times it may seem draconian, the no censorship, wild west blogs, might seem sexy, but they always suffer for their lax discipline. They are plagued by bullies both local and drop by. It stifles discussion.
Next Mike and Sean
At first I was skeptical, but I now look forward to your missives. Especially as the playoff run kept going, I got the sense that you were finding a comfortable voice with which to speak to us. Your efforts are appreciated, and I look forward to more in the off season.
The regulars
You know who you are. The guys that take this stuff as seriously as I do, and can still maintain a sense of humor. Its helped me thru all of the dark moments, that fricking game last year, Washington 2 this year, the times when you want to smash your head into a wall, because maybe it will make the pain go away. Knowing that others share your pain, and can see something positive, some morsel of resolve that we all can build off of so that we can keep the faith. I even include the nattering nabobs of negativism. At times you challenged the denizens of this space to show why it was right to be faithful, and I think that we've all profited from the conversation.
Last Kudo
To the fans of other teams that congratulated us and reminded me that sportsmanship matters.
WET WILLIES
To the fan(s) (I didn't keep track) of other teams that came over after our win, and demonstrated poor sportsmanship. There is nothing anyone can do to take away from our experience. Good luck living with all of the anger you store. It won't harm us one bit, not when we win and not when we lose.
