Buying Eli Manning as a Leader?

In my opinion Skip Bayless is worthless and has little to no football knowledge. To say that Eli Manning is not a leader makes no sense, and he really should look up the definition of a leader. He may not be the same type of leader as Drew Brees, but his actions alone have led this team to the Superbowl this year. Does anyone else get as frustrated and disgusted watching this as me (especially when he compares Eli to Mark Sanchez!!!)?

Nope, it doesn't bother me at all.

The core of what he is saying is Eli is not the natural born leader type. I think he is correct, it is not in Eli’s nature to take charge over grown men and tell them what to do.

However, Eli IS a leader, I wouldn’t say by default as he did but by his actions. People (like his receivers in particular) look up to him. They do what he says, not because of his great leaderships skills but because of his great performance and command of the art of playing quarterback.

Comparing Eli to Sanchez is also dumb

You’re not seeing “real” banter

Skip, Jay whoever is The opposing journalist submit ideas for discussion.

Skip is a regular because his skill is figuring out incendiary topics, and how to argue the opposite of “accepted thinking”. I seriously doubt Skip really believes 1/2 of what comes out of his mouth. He may think its a good argument, but he isn’t a buffoon, he can see that the team rallies around him in crunch time, he reads the quotes from other Giants. He’s just a master of controversial catch phrases.
