If the Mayan Calendar is right the world will end today, thus we won't have to worry about whether or not the New York Giants can win their final two games and make the playoffs.
Here is something to feel good about if today is indeed the end of time:
- If the world ends today, the Giants will have won the final Super Bowl ever played. That's a pretty good way to go out.
Here is something to feel bad about if the world ends (other, of course, than the world ending):
- If the world ends today the final game the Giants played will be the worst one ever played by a defending Super Bowl champion -- a historically bad 34-0 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. That's kind of a crappy way to go out.
Anyway, the folks at SB Nation have asked football sites to put together posts on their favorite sports memories. I can't really choose, to be honest. I have four Giants' Super Bowl titles to choose from. I am a New York Yankees fan and have many memories there to choose from. I have memories of my children's athletic accomplishments that might top the list. Shoot, I even have a few highlights from my own long-ago playing days that would be among my favorites.
So, I'm not going to go on and on about it. Instead, I'm just going to ask you guys to share your own favorite sports memories -- especially if they are Giants-related.
And hurry up about it. You know, before the world ends and all.
