I wanted to come here to share a story, I hope you enjoy it.
Well, I live in San Diego, have my whole life, naturally I am a Bolts fan and we all know how almost everyone in SD hates Eli, not so much anymore but of course it is still a theme whenever he is mentioned.
My friend Jessica's little brother Vinny has for whatever reason always been a Giants fan. We give him a hard time but he is a good kid. He has recently been battling cancer, he had beaten it the first time around but it came back and it came back strong.
While in the hospital and very sick, Eli Manning called Vinny, he talked to him for over a half hour, he joked about the fact that he had a fan in San Diego and it truly brightened his day and made him feel very special. It was a very selfless thing for Eli to do and a very great gesture. I just wanted to let you know I truly respect Eli and wanted to let you know (I am sure you already do) that he is a great man.
Vinny passed away this morning with his family by his side at the age of 18. He was a great kid and had a great spirit in him.
I just felt like sharing this with you guys, something positive to think about. It's good to know there are good people in the NFL.
