I think I figured out why under Coughlin, they traditionally have this November swoon. This team during the Coughlin Era lacks a killer instinct, it is very rare that they put a game out of reach. If they jump out to a big lead, they never bury a team. Usually winning it out in the end, but always a close game.
This is the same thing that has happened as far as records go during the season.
Jump out to a usual 5-3 or 6-2 lead in the division, get tagged with "Control your own destiny" story line. Then slump and let one or more teams back in the mix, and then have to crawl back out to make a run at the end.\
This team lacks that killer instinct to just bury people, be it in a game or during a season. It is what it is.
My prediction, if the Cowboys win this week and are only 1 game back we come out and play a good game vs the Packers. If they lose and we still have a 2 game lead then it's anyone's guess. I think they need to feel someone breathing down their neck to play their best football. For better or worse that is how this team is.
