keep looking at those match ups mr. GM
until you get a real player evaluater, you will be scratching your head. im sure any cowboy fan would say the same thing
"It's nice to see arrogance humbled."
right you are Mr. Mara
You down wit JPP?
I got 99 problems but a Vick ain't one!
I never thought I'd say this but Jerry honestly is respectable in my opinion...
the guy loves his team and desperately wants to see them win the big one. This was not an arrogant, stupid Rex Ryan load of BS.
In Reese We Trust
then he is an idiot
and cannot evaluate his team objectively and therby a terrible GM.
+1
I dont know what numbers Mr Jones is looking at. The Cowboys played 9 opponents with winning records (for the purposes of this discussion, 8-8 is a winning record, at least a non-losing one). They went 1-8. Phily played 10, going 4-6. The Giants played 10, going 6-4.
As one of JJ’s former coaches said – you are what your record says you are
He also never answered the question
because he can’t give credit where credit is due. That’s not respectable.
lol
Dear Mr. Jones
I agree, you guys were almost even on the match up’s, Terrenance Newman was only this much from making that tackle on Victor Cruz, don’t let those pesky Cowboy fans and so called experts tell you Newman is done, and inch here an angle here and he would have been the star of the game. Same with Brady James and any other LB not named Sean Lee, keep them all, Giants got lucky is all that hapened.
PS please keep Tony Romo too, don’t let anybody tell you he is a choker, you guys are just fine and will compete for the NFC East tittle every year with the current roster.
I know that's sarcasm, but the part about Romo is wrong.
It’s more the Cowboys losing for Romo than Romo losing for the Cowboys. People and even some of the media have come to this conclusion. Why? He put up fantastic numbers and put us in position to win a lot of games this year. A couple FG’s and some defensive stops and Romo is in the playoffs. Notice special teams and defense is mentioned. Two things Romo cannot control.
Romo's numbers never look bad
However when you look at his overall accomplishments, he kind of falls short. Just my opinion, but my eyes tell me Romo is a choker, yeah you could blame the losses on other things, but Romo always plays a part too, like the pass to a wide open Dez Bryant Romo missed, or the 4th and 1 he failed to concert.
Keep on believing Romo is a championship QB, that’s fine by me. But I don’t want that guy anywhere near my team,

Yep
Just look at Eli last year or Cam Newton this year. Good productive numbers but Eli made plenty of mistakes and Cam made the mistakes you’d expect from a rookie. In Eli’s case many of those games were lost because of him. Same with Romo the few years.

Because the media leads you to believe that.
Everyone misses throws or throws a pick late in a game. It happens. You need a complete team to win. Not just a QB.
Highest active 4th Quarter passer rating? Doubt that’s a choker. Probably more of a reason is lack of defense.
Well you don’t want him because you have Eli. Glad we have Romo though. He makes our horrible offensive line look average because of his elusiveness. Put 28 other QB’s back there and they have two broken clavicles.
The media has not led me to the conclusion that Romo is a choker
My eyes tell me that, having said all of that I am not saying Romo sucks, because he doesn’t. What I am saying is Romo is not the QB you want for a big game.
Think of it like this, I’m assuming you go back to Dallas’s hey day in the 90’s on this one. Brett Farve’s stats blew Troy Aikman’s out of the water, however head to head Troy constantly beat Farve’s Packers. Would you choose Farve over Aikman just casue his stats were better or did your eyes tell you Troy Aikman was a better QB, and it didn’t matter how many stats Farve put up you would still take Aikman anyday? Same with Romo, yes he put’s up numbers, but in the clutch when you need him to make that play or the throw he

New generation.
I’ve seen 1 playoff win, and lots of failure. Some Romo’s fault, but I’d take him in a big game. Sure I rather have Rodgers, Brady, or Brees, but after that it’s a toss up between Eli, Romo, Ben, Stafford, and Matt Ryan…Maybe.
It’s not a toss up to you I bet because you’re a Giants fan, but Eli, Romo, and Ben have similar stats. (Romo being the statistical favorite) But less wins because why? He hasn’t had a Steelers type defense to back him up, and a 2007 Giants defense. If he did he would have won a few more playoff games.
All I’m saying.
Be careful comparing QB's based on similar Stat's
QB’s that put up similar numbers are not always on the same level. Try this expierment, Look up Troy Aikman’s numbers than compare them to Phil Simms, Randall Cuningham and Joe Thiesman’s. To the naked eye Troy’s numbers are going to be worse than all three, however if you saw Troy Aikman play, if you needed to win one game your probably going to pick him before Phil, Randall or Joe.

I have two words for you
Emmitt Smith. 11 consecutive 1,000+ yard seasons. Would we be talking about Aikman with Smith and Johnston in the backfield?

Here's the thing with using with your or anyone's eyes:
They are subjective. What one person sees will be entirely different from what someone else does.
That’s why it’s better to use objective measurements like stats which don’t fall prey to eyesight bias. And the stats don’t lie: Romo is a damn good QB.
There is no hope.... there is no future....there is only BLUE WALLS.
The 2012 Mets: Fortune cookie says come back in 2015
Some stats do lie
I don’t know if this is the case with Romo, but if your team is ahead in the 4th quarter it might be easier to have a high passer rating because there is less risk to take. That doesn’t mean you’re better in the 4th.
Eli won at least 5 games on his own, no defense no running game. Those are high risk, no huddle situations, more incompletions and picks are likely. But he won those on his own, most if not all when trailing in the 4th, so I’ll take him for the comeback win over anybody.

Yes.
I live in Dallas so I see just about every Cowboys game also and I can say I’d take Eli hands-down over Romo easily. Romo is just NOT clutch in my eyes. And some of that 4th quarter hype is garbage time stats against soft zones in prevent.
Stats don't tell the whole picture in football though
they’re just as flawed as anything else

Match-ups? MATCH-UPS?
We’re talking ’bout MATCH-UPS…match-ups?
Piss off…get back to me when you decide if the Cowboys match up well with their couches this weekend.
Match-ups? I think the word disappointment matches up pretty well with the Cowboys…every year.

Why is Tom Quinn still here? I loves me some Coach Clawfin.
Never liked the guy since he bought the team
Never was a cowboys fan but just didn’t like the way he got rid of coach Landry. I understand he didn’t hire the guy but just didn’t like the way it went down. Also can’t stand seeing this guy parading on the sideline during games unlike other owners that stays in the box, well except Falcons owner Blank

I LUV IT
BIG BLUE ALL THE WAY
So when did Jerry first learn the English language?
That wan’t bad for some who spoke Greek for 60 years.
The Cowgirls have no chance with this Assclown
As the Gm and Talent Evaluator. I thank Tebow every day I’m a Giants fan and have Jerry Reese to keep this team stocked with talent every year to be competitive. The amount of Injuries this team has had this year should make us look like the Rams or worse but thanks to Mr. Reese and the depth that he has supplied us with we are in the Playoffs. It really is amazing that we are in the Dance and I for one certainly am happy to have this guy in our Organization.

Jerruh, you of all people should know
That you gotta know when to hold em
Know when to fold em
Know when to walk away
Know when to run
Of course Jerry loves his depth chart ...
cause he’s it’s Dr. Frankenstein. He just wishes the game was played on paper. Just like Dan Snyder.
he'd probably injure his pinkie again
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
