I'll repost this again....
Brandon Graham is better than Jason Pierre-Paul. Brandon Graham generated more pressure than JPP, JPP had one of the lowest PRP ratings in the NFL last year. JPP has never faced anything other than single blocking and he never got a sack he didn’t just walk into. Brandon Graham had more hits and more hurries along with the best PRP rating of any rookie defensive end..

It is hate but also
it is a Loser’s mentality. And that is what Philly fans are- Losers.
Complete lack of NFC East pride in Philly
I remember cheering for the Redskins in their Super Bowl years. And while I would never root for Dallas (that expansion franchise), I was not personally invested in their failure. I have supported Philly in their postseason games against opponents less worthy (damn Berman and his Seahawks love).
I blame Dan Snyder. If he kept his Redskins more competitive, the rivalries would be more spread out.

I would have a very hard time rooting for the Ealges NFC East or not, I only root for them to fail.

Only say that becuase one of my best mates is a die hard eagle fan
After watching the Giants beat the Niners for the right to go back to the SB, he got pretty depressed becasue in his entire 40 some odd years of rooting for the Eagles they have never won anything not once, even older Redskin fans have memories of their team being the best, Eagle fans have none.

Seriously!!
I get PLEASURE out of the fact that the Iggles fans have never tasted ultimate success! Growing up just outside of Philly as a Giants fan has left be feeling nothing but joy and pleasure at the misery of Filthadelphia fans. I am young enough (28) that until the Phillies won recently my favorite thing to say to most of my friends who were Philly fans was that NONE of their teams had won anything in their lifetime!
I completely agree
As a fellow 28 year old Giants fan who grew up outside Philly, their misery is my joy. I live with an Eagles fan. He had to shave every hair on his body after we beat them the first game this year. Luckily he didn’t want to bet on the 2nd game. It’s really annoying living here being surrounded by delusional Eagles fans. It’s like you can’t even go to 7-11 wearing Giants gear without someone talking shit.

That quote reminds me
Its kinda awesome that the cowboys had a shot to win the division, but the Eagles didn’t yet the Eagles finished 2nd and Cowboys 3rd due to the head to head
Ryan Miller was the true MVP. See my profile for rant.
That is good so now eagles have tougher schedule than the cowboys. We own the cowboys and eagles can be beat by some other teams for us and then we sweep them.
This is not the 2007 team.
2011 NYG will have their own legacy.
Pitiful
That’s why it’s great trolling them during the games because all they ever do is whine. It was awesome they were winning and they went on and on about how they were going to reign supreme over us, but when that didn’t happen, then the “football gods” hate them and alls wrong in the world. Pathetic. I wear being banned from BGN as a badge of honor.

And my absolute favorite...
Giants rely on fumbles and stripping the ball.
If the pats secure the ball, then the pats win, but if they fumble or let the ball get striped than the giants win. every game the giants play they always benefit from the other teams bonehead mistakes (fumbled or striped) not from thier skills. The giants are a dirty team, I can’t think of any othe team as dirty as the giants. They try to strip the ball as hard as they can because they know they can’t win a fair game.

Oddly enough, most of the Eagles “fans” I know are actually very humble, kind individuals. They are real fans who are just as passionate about their team as we are. The abrasive dickheads are not fans at all, just Insecure bandwagon fakes that haven’t ever followed a squad during a low point. Same thing could be said about any organization, obviously with varying degrees of wagon-quantity.

The culture of the haters and nut jobs is a repellant to the decent ones.

Round of applause ladies and gents for this fixed Superbowl with NY being the question mark. Lose to both GB and SF in the regular season but somehow figured it out to win both playoff games. GB practically threw that game…Cant believe it. Eli and Peyton Manning made superbowl in Indy.likely due to his potential retirement..Bul#$%$..
oh i get it, the packers and the saints were the one fixed to win last week, but that didnt happen, so the NFL picked us to win?

top 4 ways the giants play dirty
1. they “stripe” the ball
2. Their defensive linemen are so "pushy’ – they won’t quit pushing everybody!
3. Victor Cruz makes defenders fall down.
4. Eli often fakes like he’s gonna hand off then doesn’t — damn trickster!

It is a shame because you were initially trying to prevent Giants fans from trash talking over at APC. What can you do?
I went over there and a few of them jumped on any suggestion I made that the game would be competitive, which was wrong of me because the game was not competitive. I understand now that the three score predictions that were made by certain APC bloggers were typos, and they got the names of the teams switched around.

Eli Manning is the opposite of Lebron James. If you ask Lebron for change for a dollar, he only gives you 75c because he doesnt have a fourth quarter. When Eli asks for change, he only takes one quarter because thats all he's gonna need.

BTB on the Jerry Jones Jaffe
We both know you hate Dumbface. All Jerry did was acknowledge the obvious, Dumbface played well this year, still not as good as Romo, but well enough to get NYG into the playoffs. And why was that? New York’s line did a better job preventing sacks (until last night) and was better at generating sacks, and consistent pressure.
Like I said above, in games 1 vs GB and Dallas, Romo and Rodgers matched Eli in shootouts. In games 2 vs GB and Dallas, the Giants defense shut down the Packets and Cowboys offenses, while Eli still played well. In the 2nd meetings the Giants won by 17 because their pass rush dominated the offensive lines, giving the secondary more time to challenge receivers.
In games 1 and 2 neither the Dallas defense nor the GB defense did anything to stop Eli.
I assume Dumbface is Eli
For the sake of “Arguement” Regular Season
ELi – 61% completion percentage, 4,933 yards 41 TD 16 INT
Romo 66.3% completion percentage, 4,177 yards 31 TD 10 INT
With the Postseason
Eli 61.1% completion percentage, 5,856 yards 49 TD, 17 INT
Romo’s stat line the same since he’s been on his couch.
the stats are comparable
Romo is a fantasy hero.
In reality, there can be no comparison of the two.

Its funny
because in my championship game I benched Romo for Matt Ryan. I had this feeling that Romo was going to suck. I won by 1.2 points.
14-0 this year!
But yeah, Romo did great throughout most of the year for FF. Awesome for a 4th round pick.
My Wife is a Patriot's fan...
"Giants rely on fumbles and stripping the ball. They try to strip the ball as hard as they can because they know they can’t win a fair game." by EaglesNeedD on Jan 23, 2012 2:01 AM EST

Speaking of definitions
Troll: In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, , or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response.
Your post is the most offtopic, so enjoy being labeled a Troll. And I know the sign says not to feed you, but sometimes I can’t help myself.
We have all been discussing your delusions and malcontent at our team’s good fortunes. Accrediting it to luck, the refs(laughable), the nfl being fixed, and whatever else. So we are on topic, we are enjoying your misery/misfortune.
If you would like to post what you consider to be Simms-McConkey’s Troll attempts, I’m sure this thread could use some more blockqoutes, but I can’t insure that you will get the reception you want.

Let's just clarify
Its nt simply the misfortune of Eagles fans, that’s too far reaching.
It’s the swallowing of hubris that some Eagle fans spewed like Old Faithful all over this blog in the off season. I’ve got no problem with anyone that doesn’t act like a big hoser.
I still remember that Redskin fan from week 1, all drunk and foaming at the mouth, I’m pretty sure he’s drinking vinegar now too.
Eli is our King!
clarification complete
and agreed. i can remember more then a handful of times other blogs guys came by us just to make sure we knew about all the season ending injuries and losses to free agency the giants had gone through… O and how we’re going to be 3rd in the division, if we’re lucky.
the expectations were low (especially for everyone who doesnt consider themselves a giants fan) but the result has been beyond our wildest dreams. basking in that heap of glory, along with the misery of the pre-season gloaters, is pretty satisfying.

Veeerrrrryyyyyyyy satisfying!
And funny as well. The way that they go from hopeful to crushed while watched our team play and defeat thier past playoff opponents is the best part.
If you want to argue that Manning is a) not a great quarterback or b) not the best quarterback in franchise history your credibility is automatically shot.

This season reminds me of an old adage I like
Money won is sweeter than money earned
This season right now, is a great big pile o money won. But hey 2008 was money lost. That’s what makes the win money so damn sweet.
Eli is our King!
I'm.... at a loss for words. lol
This post is awesome.
I’ll take 11 players with heart on the field over 11 guys with just talent. Talent is fleeting, it goes away over time. Heart is what drives you to be better. To push yourself beyond what you think your capabilities are. To show us that when you strive, all things are possible.- SMP
Hey guys
If this post ends up arguing and fighting with other teams’ fans, it will reflect poorly on me and probably tick off Ed. So, let’s enjoy this with each other and not feed the trolls.
I would absolutely HATE to kill the post, but since I have been polite and stand by all my visits to Acme, I don’t want to be held responsible for any misconduct.
You PLAY to WIN the GAME.
Dear Tebow, please let the Giants beat the 49ers.
I'm surprised..
it took this long for other teams’ fans to come here and start something in the first place.
I mean I only linked it on every team’s blog site (not really).
My Wife is a Patriot's fan...
"Giants rely on fumbles and stripping the ball. They try to strip the ball as hard as they can because they know they can’t win a fair game." by EaglesNeedD on Jan 23, 2012 2:01 AM EST

in this case, the cretins popping in are / would be the same ones who made really idiotic comments to begin with! Who wants to show their face in a thread that is everybody laughing about what a moron they were?

Seriously?
I’d take all this more serious, but its actually hilarious that you had to bleep out the swears. Can’t have any of that manly talk over here.
what is manly about swearing?
I know girls who can swear better than guys. its not to be taken seriously so i would refrain from trying too hard.
I have not yet begun to procrastinate

I may not be the most noble of men but in a town of lepers, im the one with the most fingers.
Giant LB'zz SUCK!! Mark Herzlich, Jacquian Williams,...Maybe .. Sadly this has been modified.
As someone who swears as much or more than most people
I am still capable of typing a sentence without including the expletives. Our mods let us drop a few F bombs during the games or as long as it’s not being used to demean or insult someone. Cursing for the sake of it, or to sound manly, actually just does the opposite, it makes you sound immature and childish.
sorry pal
real men know how to articulate thier feelings and thoughts into words without having to swear like a tough guy

Why would you take this seriously?
Don’t you find the stripping/striping one hysterical?

You know before the I came to SBNation
and was a Giants and Eagles fan (yes yes i know but i grew up in california and didn’t get into football til highschool so i just jumped on teams with players i liked Strahan and T.O. =D) Then i checked out both blogs and read comments from some fans it was fairly obvious that Eagle fans are some of the most trollish and disgustingly vile people over the internet. Multiple instances of wanting players to blow out knees, die, get hit by cars, shot, tortured and they still have the audacity to call themselves fans of the game disgusted me so much i hate the Eagles now and just because of their fans
Seriously even when they win games they still have fights over at the Eagles BGN
and when they lose and if some of them say something positive they are all over those poor souls too.
This is not the 2007 team.
2011 NYG will have their own legacy.
I can't argue with those assertions BUT
What you’re describing is the difference between strong leadership and weak. It’s weak when you say we don’t censor, we are man enough to deal with personal attacks, profanity is cool. I have no doubt that our site would be very similar if Ed wasn’t dedicated to making this more than a place for pre-pubescent Internet tough guys to assert their bravado.
Eli is our King!
no i dont mind that they dont censor or anything but it seems like the mods over there are encouraging
I mean I cuss all the time. I hope players don’t win the Ship in all kinds of sports. Hope for off nights or that someones injuries linger just until after my team plays them but I don’t want anyone taken out or career ruined. That’s just unacceptable from any point of view.
That sounds exactly like Browns fans. Here’s a typically classy quote from one of their members that was not criticized by anyone, in fact it was rec’d
It’s been reported that we tore Mendenhall’s ACL tonight.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Plenty more just like that.

I'm old enough to pre-date these blogs
In the old days when you had these talks face to face, in a dorm TV room, or pub etc. it was far clearer then. The profanity and personal attacks are meant to silence opinions, not further a discussion. That’s why I say it’s weak leadership to allow it. Because even when someone’s opinion is weak and unsupported, it furthers the discussion by having a forum where you have to be able to defend your ideas.
Above someone referred to how the Packers site was defiled by a Lions fan. Since the mods over there allowed it, instead of the excellent back and forth over players and tactics, the conversation was turned into a name calling contest. I just said EF it, no winners here. But now there are both Pack fans and Giants fans that are just waiting for the chance to flame the other group. The Lions fan is gone, probably laughing about how he ruined it for others.
Eli is our King!
Think about all the heart ache you saved yourself from too
Rooting for the Eagles is like rooting for the Bengals, yeah they have some good seasons, but they are never good enough, they never win and when they do make the big game they choke.

Holy Toledo this is from one of our own posted over at NFL.com regarding this superbowl
if the giants win this game eli might as well bang brady’s wife…he took his pride and dignity in 07…he will foil his plan of revenge this year what else does brady have left? well what will he have left after eli nails his wife…maybe a tag team with payton….brady’s wife is about to get manninged

If Brady were to be on the losing side
I think he would get over it.
He has 3 superbowls...
I think he’s doing just fine.
JPP + Cruz + Nicks + Eli
Yea, I'm excited about the next 10 years.
Another thing to look at
they have players who will retire and on the way out in a few seasons and we have young players who are starting their careers. The young ones should be more hungry for their 1st or 2nd ring.
This is not the 2007 team.
2011 NYG will have their own legacy.
Actually we have more players returning from 07 than they do
I don’t think guys ever stop wanting to be champions
Eli is our King!
interesting thought
Got me wondering, who if anybody on the Giants might retire with this game?
(Don’t say Diehl, that’s wishful thinking!)
Looks to me like nobody!

Well I guess this is the appropriate place to post this
I visited Pats Pulpit November 27 to see if someone could link me to the game so my wife could watch it.
At the time I did not know of the SBN policy against mentioning online feeds, which Ed could tell you I have helped uphold here since finding out about it.
I just found out a few days ago, upon returning to Pats Pulpit, that I was banned. What follows is not every comment, because it was a game thread and there’s a lot of unrelated stuff. But here’s the gist of it.
can anyone link me to an online feed of the game?..

by Simms-McConkey on Nov 27, 2011 2:02 PM PST actions
You can’t post links or ask for them anymore on here. Blogs have gotten into trouble with the NFL.
One warning, next time you ask will be a formal warning, then a ban.
by Greg Knopping on Nov 27, 2011 2:05 PM PST up actions
AFTER THIS WARNING, I DID NOT ASK AGAIN
He’s asked for links half a dozen times now.
I think that goes well beyond the simple "warning" level.
by lone1c on Nov 27, 2011 2:06 PM PST up actions
idiot
I asked 3 or 4 times because there was no response. Yeah, ban me for a simple polite question. Grow up.
by Simms-McConkey on Nov 27, 2011 2:09 PM PST up actions
Hey, be nice when u ask for a favor.
And wait for response. If I have read this line, I wouldn’t send you the link.
by MadDogExtra on Nov 27, 2011 2:13 PM PST up actions
Congrats on a great win
I stand by calling someone an idiot if they suggest I be banned for asking if anyone has a link to watch online.
I did not know of any policy against it. And I assumed that I didn’t get an answer because the game thread was scrolling by so fast.
Someone did send me a nice email, and one more die-hard pats fan [my wife] got to watch because of it.
Peace!
