I'm glad the team knows it

This is a game that will require another stellar effort on all fronts, not taking penalties and winning the turnover battle.

The Giants were only penalized three times last week and two of those calls were bogus (like the helmet to helmet on Osi). The Giants need to keep that up.

Eli needs to be aggressive but in control, really picking his spots for when to stretch the field. He can do it, and if the Giants play disciplined, physical football on all fronts, I think they can match the SF defense and outdo their offense.

If the Giants win the time of possession battle, they will win.

Now everyone will say Eli is in Bradys class. F*ck me

F#!$ YEAH!!!

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO READ!!!

Giants win, with an exclamation point! 37 – 16

Giants take a 14-0 lead before 9ers kick their first field goal
14-3 Giants.
ny puts then puts up another score
21-3 Giants
after the half 9ers look like they have life march down the field only to settle
21—6 Giants
then after a quick 3 and out 9ers get a big play down to our 4 but once again settle…
21-9 Giants.
Eli puts on a clinic
27-9 Giants
9ers 3 and out
30-9 giants
after sustained but fruitless 4 down fail by the 9ers
37 – 9 Giants
9ers take 3 min attacking out pre-prevent scheme score only td
37 – 16
failed onside kick and we once again see my favorite offensive formation
the Victory Formation!

Someone please Block quote me, make this FACT!

the bigs gotta dominate upfront

KG gonna find a way where he can help Diehl and McKenzie vs. their outside rushers

giants secondary has to do what SF secondary wants to do….hit someone.

don’t give up the ball either.

and hopefully KG can find a more effective way to move the ball on their D this time.

by BLUEYOU on Jan 19, 2012 11:29 AM EST up reply actions

Hate to admit it

BJ IS soft. He rarely makes the short yardage needed for a 1st down. And if he has 1 guy to shed, he cant do it. Happened again against GB last week. Also cant catch a pass when defender near him. One piece of good news: if he’s really angry, he’s at his best. Hope this makes him REALLY angry.

DavebrownNOT

by marfar on Jan 19, 2012 12:22 PM EST up reply actions

you forget the body type this guy has

i know the play you are talking about in GB….he tried to get outside the defender. one of the announcers said he shoulda planted and cut back inside.

which he probably should have done.

but when he scored his TD he has the same scenario….and instead of trucking Woodson he turned outside, got the corner and scored.

I think if anythign is flawed it’s his decision making.

Ask Roman Harper if Jacobs is soft. Or how bout the 4th and 1 play vs. ATL.

No, Jacobs is not soft, sometimes he just forgets that he’s not faster than everyone else…..

by andiamo708 on Jan 19, 2012 12:43 PM EST up reply actions

Not Convinced Giants running game back on track

Bradshaw and Jacobs runs near the end of the game were m,ade when GB had pretty much thrown in the towel. GB was not totally into the game anymore. But the rest of the game, the Giants running showed very little. O-Line seemed to be getting beat badly on the run. Perhaps we should see more of Petras?

Fire Fewell

by andiamo708 on Jan 19, 2012 12:56 PM EST up reply actions

I'm just saying

Two playoff games, two strong performances, and runs when we needed em in both. A running attack doesnt have to be 40 carries. You need to be able to convince other teams that you will run. As long as they think you will. Play action is viable.

Eli is our King!

by trueblue63 on Jan 19, 2012 2:36 PM EST up reply actions

I'm not even addressing the "running game" just the Jacobs is "soft" comment

like i said, i think his decision making is not always spot on….and because of that sometimes can look “soft”.

Yes, get them to back up

I am sure that is part of the plan. It seems Gilbride runs early to draw them up then unleashes the passing attack. Then can run again here and there for bigger gains.

by BLUEYOU on Jan 19, 2012 1:36 PM EST up reply actions

I love BJ on the sweep

When they zone block for him or just drive block, he gets a chance to make a decision. He struggles with the pulling plays, cause he just doesn’t cut quickly.

Remember that game a couple years ago against Baltimore?
