SOPA and PIPA are...

… two portuguese words. They mean “soup” and “kite”, respectively…

I have never eaten a “kite soup” before, but I believe it leads to indigestion!

by prsancho on Jan 18, 2012 10:57 PM EST up reply actions

yeah its the same thing

example: if that bill gets signed, than Ed or any other blog owner cannot use a picture from NFL.com, or the NY Post, or whatever it may be. If Ed did not physically go to the game and take the picture on his own camera, than BBV could be shut down. If BBV gets shut down, or any other team blog, than SBNation gets shut down because they own BBV. this is not just SBNation, this is every website on the internet.

If you run your own giants blog and use a picture from BBV, your blog is illegal and will get shut down, according to that bill.

Excuse my french, but F*CK SOPA AND PIPA

by The Blood of Eli on Jan 19, 2012 8:32 AM EST up reply actions

The bill also

will allow to track everyone’s online activity. Authorities probably already do a lot of that but now they use use it in court without a warrant. This will also lead to internet tax and e-mail tax etc. There is more but we can discuss that in some other forum.

by Giant Ken on Jan 18, 2012 4:26 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

Alex Smith is the QB

Tim Tebow wishes he could become someday. Denver would be lucky if that’s the end result. I think the perception to some fans who don’t watch SF all the time (myself included) believe Alex Smith is capable of having one of those Rex Grossman type games in the rain like he did in the SB vs Indy.

by rzor on Jan 18, 2012 5:00 PM EST up reply actions

Bad things happen in the rain.

To anybody. Sometimes that is how it falls.

Smith would not melt down though.

by Mindless on Jan 18, 2012 5:32 PM EST up reply actions

Agree

the weather thing is luck in my mind . . . I mean who knows who it will effect more does Eli fumble 3 times? does a SF D-Back slip trying to make a tackle to allow Nicks or Cruz to bust a big one? . . . you never know. Smith is better than Grossman, Grossman was a fumble machine BEFOR that SB the Rain was like putting an alcholholic in a bar.

problem is, an Hback is not used in KG’s offense that much, if at all.

crazy thing is, I saw them put Ballard and even Pascoe more in an Hback capacity than I’ve every seen them use Beckum. This year in fact.

I can’t help but think of the tragedy they had to deal with during the week. It had to have an effect on their performance. I know, the layoff, team took their foot off the gas at the end of the season…

We may never know if it was one or the other or both, but I can’t help but think having a team/family member losing a child may have taken some of the fight out of the Pack.

Stats on penalties
The most noticeable change is the lack of holding penalties. Only seven were called in the eight games played, and five of those were against the Giants in their two games. Three have gone against Giants guard Chris Snee.

With as many passes as Brees, Brady, Stafford, and Rodgers threw in their playoff games, it’s the Giants that have had five holding penalties. I really hope Sunday’s crew isn’t another hot mess.

Team Ghost: Manningham, Sintim, Beckum, Barden, JPP, Anvil, Ross

"But even if they do that [win the NFC East], once they get into the playoffs, they're going to see teams such as the Saints and the Packers and the 49ers, who started them on their current losing streak. I'm having a hard time dealing with the Giants critics this week.

I usually just want to see the Giants play hard and let the chips fall where the may but I want them to crush the 49ers. I want them to jam something somewhere and make it hurt!

They feel like they have unfinished business in San Fran, that they should have won the previous game. They are familiar with the team and feel confident they can take care of business.
