Giants 37, Packers 20: Giants Headed To NFC Title Game
The New York Giants are headed to the NFC Championship Game after beating the Green Bay Packers, 37-20. Yep, I picked the Green Bay Packers to win. And yes, I am happy to be wrong.
Pick on me all you want while you wait for Sean's recap.

That REF that did not turned over the fumble must be fired!!!
How can someone look at the replay and call it NOT a fumble?
Deon Sanders said that the referees went to the phone booth and not a regular booth on that play. lol
This is not the 2007 team.
2011 NYG will have their own legacy.
Raji is soft
Green Bay was still clinging to life when big fat Raji had Bradshaw wrapped up. Bradshaw ripped right thru him to seal the game.
That was a cherry on top

This is outstanding.
I mean I didn’t see the winner of the NFC East doing diddly. Instead you’re off to an NFC Title game. Be proud. Your defense got hot at the right time. Going to be a big battle next week.
Don’t expect 30’s though. SF has a way better defense than GB. 24-21 Giants.
What makes you think they can get 21 on us?

i would say that sf is a horrid matchup for giants at first glance......
but i think we have reached the point with eli where you just throw all of that out the door, put the ball in his hands, and say “you’re our game plan, go play”. unbelievable effort today by the entire roster.
and where are the ‘fire gilbride’ guys now?
I'm a little worried about the running game agains the Niners.
As poorly as we ran this week, it could be a lot worse against the Niners. Hope they get some stuff done during the week.

Stubhub is reputable. I used them for SB42.
Probably get in the building for $500 per. A grand for good seats. If you want to do a travel package, Big Blue Travel will have a decent deal, but the implied cost of the ticket will probably be in that area too.
Blue is the color of melancholy and honesty
Green is the color of inexperience, envy and nausea.
I was pretty damn close
NFL ticket exchange has worst seats in building in low $400s as of now.

The bigger story IS how much GB sucked
We played well enough to win no matter what GB team showed up, but turnovers + a lousy defensive gameplan, a lot of teams would have beaten them today.
Blue is the color of melancholy and honesty

No they didn't
They sped up their offense to neutralize our offense
And the dropped some passes, but they also made awesome plays. Playoffs are pressure, it’s just not as easy to run around throwing it. Our D made big pressure plays, see Osi the Sultan of Swat

Missed 1981
I was thinking of the ones I’ve seen.
Good. Then we can even the score.
And have two teams played as often as the Giants and the Niners in the post-season, at least in the Super Bowl era? That sounds like a trivia challenge.
If it's not the most, it can't be much higher
SF now ties Chicago as the team we’ve played most in the postseason, though 6 of those games were pre-SB
Here's every game ever played by current franchises
Go for it!

In all that time I have never whined about a single call that went against the Giants. In fact, since early adolescence I’ve never done so.
However, so many bad calls going against the Giants in these last four crucial games have me asking what the hell is going on.

But there is no excuse when you’re watching a slow-mo replay and everybody in America but you can see that it’s a fumble.

Serious question regarding the low quality officiating....
…I know the Maras are conservative, but is this an instance where they would (discreeting of course) reach out to the league officiating management to request an inquiry? The extremely one-sided officiating was disturbing to say the least.

I can't hate Aaropn Rodgers too much
He’s genuinely an awesome qb, and his receivers dropped a ton of passes. Plus, he guided my fantasy team to an unbeaten season, so there’s that.
This is aligning for us
SF will be a challenge, but they way we are playing ball right now is on the level of a championship team. We will go into SF and we will beat them. Either way we are going to get a Super Bowl rematch and I want revenge for 2000

Nothing wrong with that
They have a very good D and a decent O. Well put together team.
No more questions about Eli being elite.
Now it’s time for defense to take down the Niners QB.

I say
Let the lack of respect for our team continue.
Let’s start reviewing the numbers and let them show that, since SF has already beaten us once, there’s no way it can happen again!
Let the games begin!
Time for the Claw to to impose his will on Harbaugh. You’re next, buddy.
Quit playing not to lose. Start playing to WIN! Geeez...

Oh that 2007 Packers game
I was there for the home game, and I remember leaving that game thinking the Giants would be lucky to win four games. And that was the same weekend I was in NY to watch the Mets lose to the Phillies as they began their collapse.
Once again, the Giants restore my sports sanity.
i have had 16 beers and I'm about to smoke

Funny how I think both Niner and Giants fans want their team to be underdogs
Seems like our teams play better with a chip on their shoulder.

Love how San Fran is happy G-Men won ...
… and we are happy San Fran beat the Saints
no worries
felt good about this game whole week and even predicted a blowout witch it should of been
If we had Romo then we would have won buy 50

From PFT: Weather could be a factor in San Francisco on Sunday
…
“According to the folks at Weather.com, a special weather statement already has been issued for San Francisco, with heavy rain and high winds in the forecast for the second half of the coming week.”
Could be a big factor
Especially since the 49ers are pretty damn solid against the run and we struggle mightily at times.
I like Eli's chances to make plays over Smith in bad weather

Secondly….bill leavy is a douche of epic proportions

JR going to the NFC Championship game with a budget team. Didn't break the bank for these guys
unlike our little brothers the Jets and the Dream Team Eagles
Eh you know we always are right up there at the cap
Its just wise spending

This is totally conjecture, but...
You take those awful calls from the refs away… And it looks like we have back to back games without allowing touchdowns. BOOM!
god those were terrible, even the NFL network guys on the highlight video are saying the refs were awful

The NFL has never had the kind of scandals sports like
baseball, basketball and boxing have had. No cheating. Heavy suspensions for gambling (Paul Hornung), banishnent for neglecting to report a bribe (one of my all-time favorite Giants, Frankie Filchock.) That kind of thing is it. But, I reiterate—what the hell is going on with these terrible calls?
At least the two most balanced teams in the NFL will be playing in the Championship game for a change up.
