on the high school level, the best will all play on offense and the defense, especially in the back 7, will get the leftovers, further sending the league towards Arena Football with 55 – 49 type scores.

When points are at a premium,
It just makes every play so much more intense. Every first down, every time a team gets into the other teams side of the field, a big TO, big return on a punt, a trip into the red zone, the intensity level just rises up so much.
When teams are throwing and scoring at will the intensity of everything, for me at least, comes to a screeching halt. Like anything else in life, when you want something, like for your team to score, and it is in short supply, and it’s difficult to get, you want it that much more.
